• Our Production
  
  Please keep in mind that we are artists.  Jan and Linda do not do production knitting.  Each item is created with the care that only an artist can give.  If an item is not in stock, it may take an extended length of time to finish your garment.  This time generally runs about 4 to 6 weeks.  We would rather you not buy from us than to short change you on quality.  If you choose to purchase an item from us, you will be receiving a work of art not a mass produced product.
  
  
• Privacy
  
  We will not upon any circumstance communicate any personal information that you submit to us to any party outside of Jan, The Village Weaver’s management group with the exception of credit card transactions.  We must contact the credit card holder to charge for your purchase.  We all have jobs outside of Jan, The Village Weaver and will not sell you out to make a buck.
  
  
• Security
  
  When you click on the Checkout button you will be notified that you are entering a secure area if you haven’t disabled that notification on your system.  All information sent to us will be encrypted using SSL ( Secure Socket Layer ).  The information will exist on the server for only a short time and is removed when we access it.
  
  
• Fears
  
  We realize that some may be hesitant about entering credit card information on the internet.  We have taken precautions to prevent unauthorized access to your information.  However, if you still do not want to send your credit card information over the internet, do not fill in the credit card fields.  Be sure to include your phone number on the form and we will contact you for the needed information or make arrangements for payment by check.
  
  
• Cookies
  
  Cookies are used by sites to temporarily store information about your visit on your system.  Cookies are generally safe and not accessible to anyone but the site you are visiting.  The only cookie that is stored on your system, when you visit us, is your Session ID.  The Session ID is a unique number that keeps your visit different from others that may be on the site at the same time.  No additional information about your visit is stored on your system.  In other words, we do not use cookies as part of our interface outside of the Session ID.  It disappears the second you close your browser.
